Description
Completed in July 2020. This viola has a dark and rich sound, with a clear and vibrant top end. It has a body length of 415mm (about 16 ¼”) and is inspired by Gasparo ”da Salo”, though it is a less direct copy than other violas Nathan has made.
Viola is made from aged Val di Fiemme spruce (the same forest that Stradivari is rumored to find his tonewood) and local Ambrosia maple from Wisconsin.
