This violin has an amazingly pure and penetrating tone, with plenty of carrying power. It’s incredibly well balanced, making it easy to play. The varnish is beautifully textured and antiqued.
Lightweight two-piece maple back, and well-aged spruce front. Baltic amber oil varnish. Ebony fittings. This violin model is based on the violin once used by Henri Vieuxtemps, now used by Anne Akiko Meyers which sold at auction in 2013 for a record sum (more than $16.3 million).
